“Figaro”

Whistleblower

“This involved some of the biggest companies in the world, some of the most powerful politicians in the world. If this really came out, I knew both Nick and I would have targets on our backs.”

— FIGARO

About

“Figaro” is the moniker for a former Unaoil employee who blew open the company’s vast bribery empire, by sharing a huge cache of internal emails with reporter Nick McKenzie. His identity is disguised in the film, and his voice is replaced by that of actor William B. Davis, the famous “Smoking Man” from the X-Files. Figaro still works with multinationals and governments on major contracts.
